Kāneʻohe BayKāneʻohe Bay is split up into different zones. There is Kai hele kū, kai o kilo heʻe, and kai uli. The main focus is on kai o kilo heʻe, or the lagoon area of Kaneʻohe bay. It is predominantly coral many different species reside. There are three different streams that feed into Kāneʻohe bay. One is Waiakāne, or the water of Kāne. Then there is Waiahole, or the water of the ahole fish. And lastly there is Waiheʻe, or the water of the octopus.

Kapapa IsleAlthough a permit is needed to get to the Kapapa Isle now, many wahi pana exist near this isle and there are restoration efforts being made. It is surrounded by kai uli and there are many known isles around this area as well. Kapapa was known as a stop for fishermen back in the day because it was outside the reefs.
